So you’re ready to go green and get off the grid? Good! Actually, GREAT!

Why is that so great? Because energy is never going to be as cheap as it was a couple of decades ago. Nor are the powers that be doing much to deliver us green and renewable energy. Don’t worry, we’re not going to get into the politics of it. Instead let’s dive right into why you are here.

So let’s jump right in…

Getting off the grid, or at least getting you from relying 100% on the electric company is a smart move. We’re not here to line the pockets of the electric companies. They’ve had their run for over 50 years.

The electric companies get their energy (primarily) from burning coal or nuclear facilities. These are dirty to say the least. Every kilowatt you don’t buy from them helps them burn or waste less.

So buying less energy from the electric companies by using homemade solar panels is a stellar idea and a very good use of your time.

Today’s economy is crap, not much else to say without rambling about it. So saving all the money you can is in the best interest of everyone. If you’ve come this far then you already know the value of a dollar, and more importantly you know the value of saving a dollar.

Homemade solar panels are a cost effective way to save money starting this month! Yes, this month you can start saving.

The difference is that home made solar panels are not going to cost you thousands and thousands of dollars. You can imagine the look on my face when I got info and pricing from one of the leading solar manufactures.

Long story short, it was around $2o,000. Are you kidding me? So I can send my kid to college or buy your solar panels? Sorry, I just don’t have that kind of liquid to throw around.

Go ahead and grab a calender and calculator, find out how long it would take you to get your investment back on those panels. Yeah, exactly.

I’m sure that you don’t need to speech on doing your part for the planet. We all care, we have to. The earth takes care and provides for us, and we need to do our best to reciprocate. Homemade solar panels do exactly that and at a very efficient level.

No need to argue about the politics, burning fossil fuels is dirty and not renewable. End of story. So get off your butt and do at least one thing to help us all out. Solar is a perfect place to start.
